"Baobab” was inspired by the Ombalantu Baobab tree, known as the tree of life or Omukwa waaMbalantu in native language. It is a giant baobab tree of the species Adansonia digitata, situated in Outapi in the north of Namibia.

The Ombalantu baobab tree is unique because the tree trunk has a door going into it and can accomodate about 35 people. It has served as a chapel, post office, house, and a hiding site during various stages of Namibian history.  It is also one of the oldest trees in the world.
